General Information:

Thank you for your interest in our Chihuahuas!

We breed to show, so we usually keep any pups that look promising for the show ring.  It is generally much easier to get a male than a female.  We can usually tell within 8 - 12 weeks if a pup will be staying here with us as a show prospect, but sometimes it may take longer than that, especially if we are waiting on the pup to grow or for testicles to descend. 

A non-refundable deposit is required to hold a puppy.  Puppies priced under $1,000 will require a $250 deposit, and those priced above $1,000 will require a $500 deposit.  Please make sure that you want the puppy before placing a deposit.  We will not hold a puppy without a deposit – no exceptions!  We accept Paypal (add 3.5% fee), Postal Money Orders, and Cashier’s Bank Checks.  The total remaining balance is to be paid 1 week prior to the shipping date.

Payment plans are available in some instances.  Please contact us to discuss details.  Note:  Please contact us early to discuss payment arrangements, not once the puppy is ready to go home.  Our puppies do not leave us until they are paid for in full!

All of our dogs are AKC registered and most of the time they have at least one AKC champion parent.  Our “pet” puppies are sold with limited AKC registration and a spay/neuter agreement – NO EXCEPTIONS!  Please note that just because a puppy is available as a pet does not necessarily indicate that the puppy is substandard!  It can simply be because the puppy will be too small, or has too sweet of an attitude for the ring!  Not every puppy is destined for the show ring, but every puppy can definitely be loved!

We occasionally place adult dogs who have retired from our breeding program to special homes for a small adoption fee.  These adults have been spayed/neutered and have had a recent dental/cleaning.

We will also consider selling show prospects to serious exhibitors who are willing and able to campaign it successfully.

All of our dogs are sold or placed with AKC papers and a health guarantee.  Every puppy and dog is current on vaccinations and worming for their age.  All puppies are sold with a 12 month guarantee against life threatening genetic defects.

We do ship our puppies via Continental Airlines for an additional $300.  Typically our puppies can ship around 12 weeks of age.  We may require them to stay longer if they are smaller or if they are not eating the way we would like them to be.  Our puppies will come current on shots and worming according to their age, and started on litterbox training.

We firmly believe that there are too many unwanted and poorly bred puppies born into this world and we will not knowingly add to the problem.  If we sell a puppy on a spay/neuter agreement, it is not intended to bred!  We contractually require that ALL pet puppies be spayed or neutered within 6 months of purchase, and AKC papers will be withheld until proof of sterilization is provided from a licensed veterinarian.

When contacting us, please do not send “one-liner” emails.  Please tell us your name, where you are from, why you are interested in one of our puppies (pet/breeding/show), a little about you and your household (how many other dogs, children), and what you are looking for in a puppy (male/female, smooth/long coat).
